Cold Weather

Just to let you know we never got above 10 degree's today and right now at the hour of 10:30pm it's a balmy -20 degree's outside in Soldotna, Alaska.........LOL

We ended up putting more plastic on the windows today and have been keeping the upstairs as well as the downstairs woodstoves going.

My Desi puppy is getting pretty good at pulling the sled helping us get the wood in for the fires........she actually loves to go out and play, pulling on the ropes on the sled getting it down the hill from the wood shed.

Guess we will be putting on an extra blanket on the bed tonite & snuggling up to stay warm!

This was taken on Christmas Day looking out to the pond.........we got over a foot of snow and I went out with Desi and shoveled snow 3 times that day!

Season Greetings

My Desi at 5 months old

She's getting so big, weighs about 40 pounds now, she got some new jewelry for her 5th month old birthday ...........as in a new pink collar (hers was getting a little small) and a new retriever toy, which seems to be her favorite now! She loves anything to chew on tho........as in the teddy bear that's in the photo.

First and Last Knifty Knitter Scarf

Well I promised one of the kids on my bus that I'd do a scarf for him, if his mama would bring me some yarn........well low and behold she had yarn in a bag the next day when I dropped him off from school. Tho he said he wanted a round one so I tried my hand at the Knifty Knitter Loom and finally got it finished, I doubled the yarn and so it made for a nice heavy duty soft scarf. I do many crafts and this was so slow for me as I'm used to knitting with needles...........But I'm telling you just to see the great big smile on his face when I gave it to him was just precious!

Well I decided to Burn a Christmas CD for my son and I thought why not spruce it up a bit! 1. Apricot Appeal direct on paper 2. Punch out Circle to use as a mask 3.
