What Up Doc?

Well just to let you all know what I've been up to..........Wednesday I had surgery in Anchorage at the Native Medical Hospital. I had a tumor the size of an egg sitting beside my spinal cord so it was removed and I'm slowly getting around, I just hate that I can't do everything all at once tho.......LOL
I think I over did it today with loading & unloading the dishwasher besides doing 2 loads of laundry! Oh well that's what pain pill are for right????
I've finished one book and half way thru another.........so if that tells you how bored I am! Hopefully I'll be back up and running to my craft room soon.

Last Chance coming up!

On June 1st Stampin' Up! will publish their list of both the retiring Stamp sets & the retiring Accessories list - these will be called the 'Last Chance list'. And they have mentioned there will be some items offered at up to 50% off! Along with that, from June 1 - 30th, each hostess who has a workshop order total $250 - $399 will get an extra $20 of free hostess merchandise. And order totals of over $400 get an extra $40 in free merchandise! Retiring Accessories can include items such as these: *All of the In Color products *Designer papers *Tools *Punches *Simply Scrappin kits *Ribbons, chipboard, rub-ons etc. There is often a rush to purchase the retired items before they're gone. In the past, many of these accessories have sold out before the end of the month; some within a day or two. I suggest that if you really, really want something that will be (In Colors) or 'may' be retiring, either get it now, or get it ASAP on June 1st. Remember that there is just a few days left during May of the 'Buy 3 get 1 Free' Designer & Textured 12" paper special. Be sure to get any of these now before they retire. And, also remember that the In Color accessories can go FAST! Ink pads, paper, Designer papers, ribbon & ink refills may be gone within hours of the announcement. If you have your In Color ink pads, but no ink refill for them, order it now! No guarantee it will be there after June 1st. And be sure you have enough card stock of your favorite In Colors to go with those ink pads too.

One Good Friend

I couldn't resist this saying on this Inkadinkado stamp, so I got it out to play this afternoon. I used designer paper on the main large flower and gussied it up with dazzling diamonds from Stampin'Up!.......Cuttlebug folder used for pink cardstock.

Fun day in Alaska

Yesterday I drove 5 ladies to Homer Alaska (75 miles south to the end of the road- then you would have to take a boat) We spent the day just shopping & browsing going to scrapbooking stores, Ulmers (True Value Store, I found me a fairy with a small glass globe)
then on to lunch at a quant sandwich shop named Maura’s it’s in an unlikely spot but good prices and food. (I had a Thai Shrimp salad.......yummy) Next to Gigi’s Stamp-Beading store it’s on the spit road, (I found a couple Inkadinkado stamps, one stamp says: One good friend is better than 10 bad ones, Donatay Hall age 9) Then we went to the Blackbeary Bog (My friend snapped some photos and the owner said oh no we can’t have pictures taken it here) Can you imagine that! Wild Mountain Berry Store was next (Alaska gift store & candy shop, I bought us all a Raspberry Bon Bon since I’d never had one~ oh my gosh to die for dark chocolate!) Then we headed back home and stopped at Martha’s Creative Memories (scrapbooking supplies) that’s on the highway I think its mile marker 133???? What a wonderful sunny day it was down in Homer!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Hit the Road!

Just had to make this card it's been calling out for me to get all inked up and slapped together......LOL (actually I made it for a friend that broke her foot....as a funny get well card)
I think it's adorable with the puppy driving away. I recenlty saw it on SCS and cased the idea and really liked it, but I'm sorry that I can give credit to it's owner as I didn't write the persons name down at the time~ so if you are the person please sing out loud!

Designer Workshop Cards

These are done with Designer Papers from Stampin'Up! .......since we are running a special I wanted to do cards using mostly Designer Papers. "Tea Party" is the DP that I chose and the ladies loved making the cards today. The sparkle on the flowers is the chunky glitter they were so amazed at the Glitter they at first thought it was stick on gems. Hope this gives you all some ideas for using up you Designer Paper too!

You could use them for holding photo's or cards. (mine is holding a R.A.K. card now)
