Redoubt erupts again

Mount Redoubt has erupted multiple times this morning, most recently at 9:24 a.m. with a plume rising to 65,000 feet. An ashfall advisory, issued by the National Weather Service, is in effect for the western Kenai Peninsula, including Kenai, Soldotna, Homer and Cooper Landing. Discrete earthquakes continue to dominate the seismic signal at Redoubt. The hut webcam shows vigorous steaming from the summit crater. There have been no other large explosions since this morning's large eruption at 9:24AM. Minor ashfall, trace amounts to 1/8 inch of ash, from Ninilchik southward to the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula, including Homer and communities along Kachemak Bay. Trace amounts of ash are also possible for areas north of Ninilchik. We did get a trace amount of ash tonite when I went and started my truck to come home from work, it was a light dusting on the truck. Will keep you updated on what's going on. I'm on my Laptop, puter is not working may have to replace my hard-drive? Taking it in tomorrow.

Redoubt Volcano Erupts

Aviation code: RED Volcano Alert Level - WARNING
It erupted at 10:30pm last nite and 4 more times since 4:00am this morning.........I slept thru the whole thing and thankfully the winds were heading north and we missed all the ash coming down here in Soldotna (see on the map)
Will keep you update as more news comes in, in the mean time you can go to the AVO website to see extra photos and webicorders and look under Redoubt to see the magic happenin'!

Art Share/ Blog Candy

I found this idea on Shelley's blog (she's a SBS Sistah 27) while blog hopping. I think it is a fantastic way to share our art! The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice! For you. Could be a card I really am pleased with, an altered object or something else all together! My choice! This offer does have some restrictions and limitations: 1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! 2. What I create will be made with you in mind so you won't get something I already made unless I think it suits you to a T. 3. It'll be done sometime this year (I will want to get it done in the next month or so). 4. You have no clue what it's going to be. 5. The catch? Oh, the catch is you must offer this blog candy on your blog! Re-post this on your blog, offer something you make - your choice - to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog (then come here and post). Add my name to the #1 slot on your card- I am your first participant. When you create your give away, you will become the first participant on the new list for the people who participate with you. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment here telling me they did (I will go to your blog to check that you have this posted) win a handmade gift by me. Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! SO ...................who will be the first 5 people???? 1.http://stampin-shellz.blogspot.com/ 2. http://frankiesfancystampinup.blogspot.com/ 3. http://msrhetta.blogspot.com/ 4. 5.

4th Picture Tagging

This is what your was supposed to do: Go to the place on your computer where you store all your pictures and open the 4th folder. Open the 4th picture. Post the picture and give an explanation of what it is. Tag 4 people. DO NOT CHEAT!! You cannot edit or crop the picture!! So this is the photo in my 4th folder and 4 photo, I was on the internet looking for vintage photos at one point for a Deco and kind of liked this one.......thinking it was unique. And I'm tagging some of my SBS Sistahs.........Happy Tagging!
