Happy New Year!

Well I'd like to take the time to wish each and everyone of my blog friends a Happy New Year, and to thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful comments and encouragement with my art work.  So here's to a happy, healthy creative New Year!

Recycled Christmas Gift Containers

Hello......I've been busy like everyone else rushing around getting ready for Christmas.  These are some last minute gift containers that I've saved through out the year and stashed for just this purpose of putting home made goodies inside!!  So first I made up a double batch of Chex Mix and fill these babies to the brim......and decorated with some fun designer paper adding these adorable stamped images of Hanglar Stanglar winter kids, lastly the sentiment is retired SU.  I have a dear friend Eva that lives in Sweden she purchased these for me last year and I finally got them stamped out, colored with copic markers.

Thanks for taking the time to stopping by!

Sparkly Snowflake Ornament

Well I went to the Wednesday's scrapbook get together.....yes it was a chilly day with our blustery wind that has been blowing for the last couple days making it extra chilly.  BRRRRRRR!!!  Did you know that we had a Meteor Shower in the Geminid region, Well I saw a falling meteor streaking across the night sky with a white tail then it burst and was gone, it was to last 3 nights and guess what it got cloudy and I wasn't able to see anymore......darn, darn, darn!!!!
I'm all done sending out my handmade Christmas cards as of today, and I worked on this  Ornament made with a die cut shapeabilities snowflake pendant I cut (2) and glued back to back, added the smaller snowflakes to the center and crystal ice stickles glitter glue......as you know scan don't do justice it's way more sparkly!!

Northern Lights

Just popping in to share with you one of the latest stamped items that I've finished up........the background sky stamp is a borrowed image "Northern Lights" from a dear friend Donna, she said for me play awhile with it since I'm having so much fun with the scenery stamps.   If you have done masking of any kind then you'll be able to do these too, I used a lot of different ways to add in my ink color. (dauber, brush & markers)  Finish the project off with 2 coats of clear embossing and mount on your desired card stock.  Sorry the scan is just a bit crooked.......but you get the idea.

Last Christmas card for awhile.......LOL

Well I'm done for a bit on cards..... this card is simple peel and stick greetings with stars that I put on yellow card stock.  (And if you really know me I don't do yellow much at all, so whatever was I thinking of using yellow!)  Well I distressed the yellow enough that I  was happy with it but it was lacking something so I punched an extra star and added some flourishes with a little stickles for sparkle.
Thanks again for stopping by!

More Christmas Cards

Simply having a wonderful time making cards......LOL

Hanging Ornament Card

This is a challenge card that I made for a  Inkyfunstampers Yahoo groups......I started out with the SU ornament punch, punch 3 in designer paper and glued back to back inserting ribbon for hanging.  Then I took my card stock cut 4 1/2 inches by 10 and folded in half, next I picked out a nestibilities laying it on the edge of the card stock that is folded in half to run thru the Cuttlebug.  Now I have my opening for the hanging ornament........stamp greenery on card if desired, I also stamped, colored & cut-out a kitty hanging on some branches with small round ornaments. Now attach  hanging ornament & designer paper for background of card window and stamp your sentiment.  This fun trying to figure out because they gave no instructions or measurements!

Eskimo Kisses

Well I got all my swaps done now with this card being the last one......it was themed "Using Acetate" I used the retired snowflake acetate from SU in this widow card tho you can't even see the snowflakes in the scan.  It took a bit to do this card I stamped & masked the images and colored it in with copic markers for the main card, attached the acetate to the inside of the cut-out (which was done with nestabilities)  then I got to work on the outside of the card......randomly stamped the trees, stamp greenery swap on upper part of the card and lastly stamp snowflakes all over the card.  I'm gonna also enter this for the challenge over at Stamp-n-doodle for the "Anything Goes Winter Challenge"

Beary Christmas Tag

Well I got another swap done, this Tag is themed "Christmas" .......I started out stamping the little bear & birdie, colored it with copic markers then I thought it needed some trees that the little birdie was flying from.....
(these are retired SU trees silhouettes) I wanted  some wispy wind streaks to spread the faint snowflakes that you can hardly see on the tag.....LOL don't you just love scans?  Anyway next I embossed it with some flourishes with white powder and then I distressed the whole tag, finishing it off with a holly sprig with berries.

Manly Stampscapes Card

Hello.....I posted the main art work on this card last month so you may remember it, well I finally got around to making a card with it......so I stamped the pine swag randomly for the background giving it a little more feel of a manly card....LOL then I dry brushed it in with Garden Green & Early Expresso which are SU Classic stamping dye inks.  Some lucky person will be getting this as a swap this month!
