Molded Flower Scrap Card

I actually went down to the craft room today & turned on the heater to warm it up a bit so I could play
Well the card I did is all from scrap papers that I have stashed in my drawers, the flower is one I did a few years ago with a friend when we where making homemade paper (poured from paper pulp) guess I can really say that I'm recycling too because we took scrap paper and shredded it an made our pulp to get the flower the homemade way ....LOL  The piece behind the flower is from one of my Lace’ stencils that you cut out and fold.  I forgot how fun they were to cut these out and fold. Alrighty I'm gonna chill for a while it's time to get more Vitamin C down as my sinuses are running a muck lately with a few sneezing intervals

TJ Hidden Slider Card

About my card  I used my CD from Technique Junkies called the Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts again doing this fun "Hidden Slider" .....if you haven't gotten the CD yet you really should Pat has put together some awesome stuff on it!

As you can see these images pop up from the pocket with the cut out tab using a circle punch at the top and the sentiment pops up too.  I had gotten this set many moons ago (as it's a retired SU set) and have rarely used it but when I was visiting with a friend she had one too so we made our cards using it, I think it was perfect for this card too!  You can't tell by the scan but we used the linen background on the blue card stock and then stamped the pocket making it look more like a denim pocket

Side Step Western

Hey there, I did this card on Friday and just now getting a chance to put it on my blog because I had a weekend from "HE double tooth picks"........ I came home to sit down at my computer to see all these window icons trying to open up browser windows that said blank, blank, blank.  Dang I figured I'd contracted a frigging virus somewhere!  So I ended up having to take my whole computer down to a reformat mode and reloading everything ..........it took me 2 days to get everything updated and downloaded to a normalcy.  Well so now that I am up to date with all of Micro Soft's goodies, I totally recommend that you keep up to date with your virus protection..........Oh I had Avg, avast, spybot search & destroy on my computer and this virus got passed all of them!!!!   Micro Soft has a new anti-virus out now that is much better and keeps updated called "Micro soft essentials" which I now have.  I feel better and more relaxed enough to play in my craft room again.........so on to the card it's from the new CD from Technique Junkies called "Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts"

Simplicity Challenge

I joined in the February challenge for one of my yahoo groups this month using a new EK punch that I'd gotten and hadn't had the chance to play with it yet....any way the sketch was fun putting it all together!  Don't you just love the blue/green (I colored it in) butterfly on the designer paper........it's Stampin'Up! called "First Editon"  you actually get 24 sheet of this paper it came out in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Thomas Kinkaid Scenery

I wanted to share with you all a card that I made using one of my favorite scenes of a light house.  I wanted to stamp on water color paper so I could water color my scenery, but the image didn't stamp well so I ended up using just regular card stock.  I used a dry brush technique and daubers with a few marker strokes on the closer fencing.  Finishing the scenery off with clear embossing powder mounting it with a die-cut on more mustard card stock.

Brayered Sails on Glossy White

Hello again, I thought I'd share the card that I did on glossy white embossing it with black just so you could see the difference on whisper white sprayed with Radiant Rain.........oh by the way it was called "Stargazer" ink. The spray ink kind of got some larger splotches making it look like a rainy cloudy day.

Shimmery Love Valentine

I was in need of one more Valentine's Day card so this was a quick fun love card for my DH's Auntie.  So this is what I did in making this card........Stamp floral image on (DP) designer paper using shimmer paint daub with a paint brush onto stamped image now using cut out letters of love, attach to pre-stamped/cut  image of heart.  Punch little hearts,  punch edges of DP now glue all the hearts to your DP (You'll also notice that I added shimmer paint to the heart in the word love) hand print your squiggly lines with hearts add a ribbon and mount on your card base ...you have a lovely card to send!

Brayered Sails

Well it's been a few days since I was around, that's what happens when your mojo goes on vacation without you and boy would I of love to gone on a vacation!!!   LOL I needed to get a card done for the Ladies Card Guild,  So I thought how about something manly and I had this stamp that I bought ages ago that I'd never used.......and I really like it too!  Well I started out playing to see what I liked best, I brayered on Whisper white card stock and black embossed my image and found I really didn't like that much .....too splotchy looking, next I brayered on Glossy white and black embossed the image I really like how it turned out but I wanted something different (well I'll use it another day) so I was back to my first image........I spray it with Radiant Rain and loved it!!!  The splotchy parts were covered up with the sprayed rains and adds sparkle........I mounted it to retired card stock Yo Yo Yellow and Basic Black on card base of More Mustard.

Neutral Shadows-Fast & Fabulous

Hi there, I got my newest Technique Junkie Newsletter (February-March) in the mail the other day and this technique really caught my eye......so I had to give it a try.  Now when I did this technique I did 2 at the same time with 2 different white embossing powders to see which one I liked best, now the techniques tell you to use a stencil brush on the image edges........well I have normal stencil  brushes and it seems that too much ink was on the edges on the first sample.  So my on my second try I took my H2O's paint pot that matched up color wise and painted over the embossed image and I really like how the thinner line came out as well as the little shimmer that the H2O's gives it.   Oh by the way I've entered this for the "By the Cute & Girly" challenge
