~Anything Goes ~

Well Hello again, this week at Come and Get It we have "Anything Goes"
For My card I've used a stamp from Third Coast Stamps called Gulf Breeze VB-103-N, the background branching flowers are from SU stamped with staz-on and colored in with Daffodil Delight Marker, adding the little dragonfly and ribbon from my stash of goodies
I stamped the sentiment out and cut them up for single words and mounted on dark brown card stock

So after coloring in my image I coated picture with 2 layers of clear embossing

Making Flowers at CGI Challenge

Are you ready for this weeks challenge at Come and Get It???  We are making flowers.......you can use them as embellishments or use them at the main image of your project.  I decided to use my flowers at the embellishments and added them to the vines.  Hope you get a chance to stop by the design teams blogs to see all the details on their cards.........thanks Julie for the challenge this week!!

Here you get a close -up shot of the flowers that I made.....using crystal ice stickles to add a little glitz and shine.

I bet you can remember how fun it was to dress up, see how adorable little Lili is here!

July Sketch Challenge.....CGI

Wow what a week I've had......without internet for 6 days and no phones for 2 days, after they cut my lines while doing some ditching in my area.  Yes I was close to having DT'S without my internet..........LOL    Anyway this is my card that I had ready for the challenge at Come and Get It, Our Design Team member Leslie picked this weeks sketch!  Thanks Leslie for challenging me to make a 9 x 4 inch card...........I hope you've gotten a chance to hop over to the other design teams blogs to see what they created.

I was using some of my scraps that I have to make this card and I'm way behind making Christmas cards so I took advantage of using the sketch to do this...I love this Angel she is from SU, I stamped her in brown and torn around the edges and inked them for a little bit of the distressed look.

Sorry I don't recall who this verse is from, but I thought that it went so well with the Angel

Here's a close -up of the little fairy cutie pie!  Well the wait was worth it when I finally got my stamps that I've waited for nearly a month.......coming all the way from the UK!

Get Your Patriotic ON!

Hello and Happy Independence Day's to you if your from the USA!   This card is for the challenge over at Come and Get It and I picked the Patriotic theme this week.      I started out with red card stock for this card and cut strips of white frosted swirled and to adhere to make my flag, then added the white embossed stars to the dark blue background.........then to age it a bit I distressed the edges and added a touch of speckles to age it a bit more, lastly I put dimensions to raise the sentiment.

So do your realize that we are celebrating 235 years of freedom from the Kingdom of Great Britain, when we commemorated the adoption of the Declaration of our Independence on July 4, 1776
