Stained Glass Technique

I'm hosting the Challenge over at Come and Get It this week and I decided to try something new to me and I've never tried the "Stained Glass" technique!  So I got out some of Timmy's stamps and followed the instructions for the technique that I got from Split Coast Stampers which you can find here
Now if your anything like me you have some stash of that vellum or parchment paper laying around to emboss on............so come on and give it a try!

Make sure that you check out the Design Team Members card on their take of the cards this week!

I thought this sticker that I layered on green and then red card stock worked perfect with the embossed image!  Did you notice the light green holly on it?

Tapestry Background Sketch Challenge

Well Hello, this week we are doing a Sketch that Julie picked out at Come and Get It.  I wanted to try something different, so I decided to trying the technique "Tapestry" from Split Coast Stampers and you'll be able to find it here.

I added some sprinkles of the gold Pipe Dreamink Opals after the last coat of clear embossing powder and I think it adds just the right amount of sparkle......
I hope you get a chance to drop by the Design Teams Blogs to see what they've come up with!

I thought the little acorn from K&Company worked perfect especially since I use Oak leaves for my background.

Here's a close-up of the background

Forget Me Not Fairy Maiden

Wow 2 cards in one week is really stretching it for me these days, I went back to work full time so my creative time is pretty precious to me these days!
Well couldn't resist showing you one of my DT cards for Third Coast Stamps that I worked on.
I colored the image with Copic's, stippled the background then brushed on some Radiant Rains, clear embossed, punched the edges and layered it on distressed cuttle bug blue card stock adding some sheer lilac ribbon with dots.
I think she kind of has a Grecian look to her with the dress that she's wearing and you can find her here!
Just a close up shot of the beautiful ribbon and punched edges.

My card is entered into these challenges...........
Pile It On.........Blue, blue, blue
Catch the Bug...........Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl...............Ribbon

Black, White and Red Color Challenge

This week at "Come and Get It" we are challenging you to use only 3 colors for your card or projects!  I decided to do a friend card making a word collage type background for my card, so I drug out several SU stamp sets to make my background for the focal point of my card.
Hope that you get a chance to drop by the DT members blogs to see what they designed this week!

LOTV Fall Birthday

Hello.... this week at "Come and Get It" the challenge we are doing is a Fall Birthday cards.
I picked one of my LOTV images to use this week, and I was keeping in mind all the beautiful fall (autumn) colors..... which by the way is coming around the corner.  I do hope you get a chance to check out all the design team members cards this week!
If you noticed the designer paper in the background of my card matches perfectly with the wrapping of the flowers my little gal is holding.

I thought that the corners of my card needed something ......so I added some little bronze rhinestones
I'd like to enter my card for these challenges over at:
Papertake (anything goes)
