Ready For Vacation?

Well I certainly am after all the snow that we've been getting lately........I'm running outta room to put it as well as everyone else here on the Kenai Peninsula!  LOL  Saturday had been non-stop with that fluffy white snow coming down!

This week at Come and Get It Challenges we are having a "VACATION" ..........well not literally just the theme for your projects, scrap pages or cards.

So on to my card that I created, the background designer paper is Asian specialty paper that I had stashed.  The focal stamps were new that I never used.  For the Tag I used a SU punch and cut apart a sentiment and attached.

A lot of masking was done on the scene for my card. First I masked the man, then the larger foliage around the man then lastly I stamped the background.

Oh to be in the South Seas area with a hunk playing music would make Great Memories........LOL  Hope you enjoy the card today for the challenge won't you come join us and check out what the other Design Team Members fabulous creations are too!

I'd like to share with these challenges:
Crafty Catz~ Punches & Dies
Card Makin Mamas~ Let's see some Green
Paper Crafting Journey~ Anything Goes
Paper Play~ Something old, Something new
Pals Paper Arts 130~ Lime, Artichoke and Choice

Thanks for stopping by this week!

Challenge "Recycled" Card

Well hello there!  For this card I've used a plastic cookie container (cookies all ready eaten...LOL)that you would get at the store to make the big leaf, I used alcohol ink on one side & stamped the leaf with Staz-on the other side cut it out and blasted it with the heat gun..........presto a shrinky dink!  Tho I have tried this with several kinds of plastic container not all work.  The background is using scrap strips of paper & glitter.

Holy Triptych Sepia

I really liked the "Sepia Technique" so well I thought of using another SU set "Holy Triptych" (item 110370) in the IB&C.
I colored in the stamped image with Prisma pencils last nite by candle light during our electrical outage, I had just brought them upstairs to work on them and "poof" we loose electricity for an hour! News said over 9000 customers lost it. Happy Stampin'Yall!
