Hello There!

Well did you survive Valentine's Day??  My sweetie is working on the the North Slope currently so we will just have to make up for it went he gets back home, we do talk every day tho.

Come And Get It has a new Challenge up and Judy is our hostess this round.  She picked out our theme for us to use which is a Humorous Birthday with Bugaboo as our wonderful sponsor!

I've used the digital image Stella Birthday - 29 Again, she's go at recycling that 29th year!

I actually hand drawn & cut the balloons on the side of the card because I could't find any I liked to put on my card.  You can't tell by the picture but the main image is popped up with dimensional strips

OSAAT Challenge #194

 A Good Snowy Morning to All

We started getting some snow on Friday with winds making it difficult to see the roads especially at night and with the cold weather it freezes on the car windows so you have to end up stopping to scrap it off and thumping the wipers......oh what fun!

This challenge card is for One Stitch At A Time, the image is from Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet by Ike called Christmas Pixie.   The fun thing is it's one of everyone favorites "Any Thing Goes" and this challenge will run for 5 weeks long!!   So you'll have plenty of time to enter!  

Check out the snow around the image it's Stampendous Frantage embossing powder and my tip for you is when you are using this or and chunky embossing particles "heat embossing from under your image"  this is so you don't blow round the powder and it stays in place

OSAAT #190 Let It Snow

Good Chilly Morning!

Weather had turned cold and we got about 4" of snow then we had a warming trend with temperatures up in the 40's.  Now it's back cold again it was 3 degree's in town this AM,  well until the sun comes up and it get colder......got the wood stove blazing to keep the house warm.

Over at One Stitch At A Time the challenge is Anything Goes!

My card this week I'm using the image from Stitch Bear's Digi Outlet called The Inviting Hug by Reeces Scrap Pieces......these are some adorable snow people.

I printed out 2 images so that I could have the center snow person stand out a bit more, with all the fussy cutting that I did I think you can actually tell.  Love shimmer and shine from Paper Temptress paper that I used the snowflakes die cut on

Come And Get It Challenge ~ Focal Image On Side

Hey What a Sunny Autumn Day it is!

I woke up to some drifting fog this morning over the lake but it's shaping up to be a wonderful sunny Autumn day here in Alaska!

This week at Come And Get It Challenges I have the honor of hosting, so we are using the Focal Image on the side of your card or project, so basically it's anything goes with your image on the side!

Star of Wonder~ CGI Tag it!

Hello, Welcome back we are finally warming up from our below zero temperatures that we have been having the last few weeks........but yesterday we had a snow storm blew in dumping 3 inches of snow and it's still snowing and blowing! So that means we actually have warmed up and it's 25 degrees outside.....Wahoo!  ~You have to understand that is about 45-50 degree difference with -18 or more outside~

So now for my project this week for the Challenge over at Come And Get It, I'm playing Hostess and so we are playing Tag Your It!  Which means you must have a tag some where, either on your card/project

or just decorate a tag for the challenge.

So glad that the temperatures are starting to warm up and Spring is finally here in Alaska........last week we even made it to the upper 50's!  
Speaking of Spring that's what our challenge is all about at Come and Get It for this week and you can see all the fun projects for spring that the Design Team has came up with.

I've use an image from Bugaboo which happens to be called: Ladybugs and they just happen to be our sponsors this week, so you have a chance to win some images if you enter the challenge!

 I used crystal lacquer to add dimension for the ladybugs little black dots on their body and if you noticed the shimmery paper it's none other than Paper Temptress!

 Yea.........Spring!  But here in Alaska we now have spring break-up with lots of slushy snow, puddling of melting water, mud and flooding from so much snow during the winter......oh not to mention that if it freezes we start all over the next day!  LOL
