Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers
Just wanted to let you all know that I have taken the leap and joined the SBS #28 ..........one of the requirements is to tell you all about myself, so with further ado.......
1. Married 30 yrs come September 2009, with 2 wonderful grown sons 28 & 23.......no grandkids yet!
2. My DH is a Truck Driver and he decided one day after gaining a retirement from the company he worked in Washington State, he wanted to move to Alaska (life long dream on his part) LOL I worked in Retail for 9 1/2 yrs, so I made some phone calls and was hired over the phone for a job on the Kenai Peninsula, working another 2 1/2 yrs in retail.
3. I now reside and make my home in the "Last Frontier" State.......Alaska, we moved here 15 yrs ago and have never left and don't regret moving to the Kenai Peninsula.
4. In mid stride I changed careers in 1998 and went to school.........I found out the Medical world was not for me. In 2002 I learned how to drive a 33 ft School Bus and during the Summer I learned to drive a 40ft & 45ft Motor Coach (Tour Bus) thus starting my driving Career! I was the first female driver for a Korean Group out of Calif.........Wahoooo for me! LOL This way I was actually able to see other parts of Alaska and getting paid for it too!
5. I've been stamping since my boys were very young........tho I really got into stamping when I went to several Stampin' Up workshops here in Alaska and the Demonstrator decided to quit, so I was signed up under her wanting to keep myself and the other ladies supplied with products (our only stamp store closed down at the time too) I decided to became a Stamp'Up Demonstrator back in 2005.
6. I was a featured design Artist for a now long retired Stamp Magazine called RubberStamper
7. Currently the only kids I have are furry ones, A tabby kitty she's 2 yrs old and a 8 month old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, (Boy does she keep me busy) I lost my Rottie 6 yrs ago and it's taken me that long to get another dog.
8. My other interests include.......Reading, (I'm never with out a book!) Knitting, Crotching, Clay sculpting, Painting, Beading, Jewerly designing and riding my Motorcycle........oh and driving bus too!
9. My favorites are: the color "Red"..... I drive a Red Truck LOL burning good soy candles that don't smoke, good Asian Food, and good Friends.........which I hope to make as a SBS sister.
10. Okay I think that about sums me up in a nut shell!
