Flowers & Sparkle

Awhile back I ordered some McGill punches to make flowers after I watching some videos on You Tube and I finally broke down and played with them.  I had so much fun making the flowers with the punches, I'm totally hooked!   Now on to my card .......I used a nestabilities for the background which my little angel Bildmalarna &; bear are sitting on, then added my homemade flowers and lots of stickles for sparkle.  I'm entering my card for a couple challenges Flowers at The Crafty Pad as well as Sparkle at  SSCC
Yeppers here's my little angel with her bear!
Close-up of the blue flowers that I tipped with a little bit of violet for the edges

Handmade Paper Bag Book

Hello there, I've been working on my project for 3 days and finally got it finished...this is one of the last page in it....as you can see that I have a pull-out pocket with a flower embellished circle tab and one of the few stamped images of flourishes

More pages with tabs that have pockets using the label punch from Stampin'Up!    Did you notice that I have side tabs as well as upper tabs for hidden pocket?

The pages with dotted pink are the only pages that I added some embossed black sentiments to them, here you see the lined page on the inner part of the pull-out tab page

The Front of my book.......gorgeous paper I found and the rose is idea is from a sister blogger and she got it from a video that I watched from here and I'm giving credit to Valita for her wonderful videos!       Tho one thing I did different was use decorative scallop scissors to cut my center scallop to add more dimension to the center of the flower.

Here's a close up of my rose the paper that I used was rather thick and kind of hard to mold but I got it all together........I hope you take the time to watch Valita's video using the Stampin'Up! punches....  I am also entering this to a challenge for The Crafty Pad

Thanks for coming by for a look see, I so enjoying hearing from you!

Molded Flower Scrap Card

I actually went down to the craft room today & turned on the heater to warm it up a bit so I could play
Well the card I did is all from scrap papers that I have stashed in my drawers, the flower is one I did a few years ago with a friend when we where making homemade paper (poured from paper pulp) guess I can really say that I'm recycling too because we took scrap paper and shredded it an made our pulp to get the flower the homemade way ....LOL  The piece behind the flower is from one of my Lace’ stencils that you cut out and fold.  I forgot how fun they were to cut these out and fold. Alrighty I'm gonna chill for a while it's time to get more Vitamin C down as my sinuses are running a muck lately with a few sneezing intervals

Thanks for dropping by!

Greenhouse Gala Workshop Card & Hand Scrub

Here's another workshop card using the SU set "Herb Expressions" and Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper with the curly label punch for a window and stamped inside using the "Thyme"  herb.   The sentiment on the front of the card is from the same set.
I'm going to give the Ladies a real treat after making cards.......We are going to have a Mini Hand Spa!!!  I came across some very easy recipes for hand scrubs and I'll tell ya there is a lot on the internet, so I made a Lavender-Sugar Hand scrub using 3/4 ratio cane sugar to 1/4 ratio brown sugar, glycerin, corn huskers lotion, Lavender essential oil and mix well together until you have a paste consistency........ I added dried lavender also for color,  Now you can use this scrub as an all over body scrub also......your hands feel so smooth and polished!!  Okay now to finish the day for everyone we will dip our hands into a hot paraffin wax dip.......ohhh this feels soo good!!

Recycled Christmas Gift Containers

Hello......I've been busy like everyone else rushing around getting ready for Christmas.  These are some last minute gift containers that I've saved through out the year and stashed for just this purpose of putting home made goodies inside!!  So first I made up a double batch of Chex Mix and fill these babies to the brim......and decorated with some fun designer paper adding these adorable stamped images of Hanglar Stanglar winter kids, lastly the sentiment is retired SU.  I have a dear friend Eva that lives in Sweden she purchased these for me last year and I finally got them stamped out, colored with copic markers.

Thanks for taking the time to stopping by!

Knitted Bag

I had some left over Sugar & Cream cotton yarn, so this is what I came up with.......not sure what I'm gonna do with it as I have no little girls. Maybe I'll save it to wrap up a gift for someone later on!

Colorful Bracelets

I got a wild hair today and made some bracelets the top one I was playing with some ideas and charms it's made with Czech Fire Polished Glass beads, Glass leaf beads, 2 Silver oval beads with hearts, Silver spacer beads and 3 charms.
The middle one is made of Czech Fire Polished Glass beads on the ends, 5 Labradorite Oval beads, Turquoise beads and Silver spacer beads.
Lastly but one of my favorites is the one made with Red Swarovski crystals, 4 Red Fire Polished Glass beads, Clear crystals and Silver spacer beads.

Dish Cloth

Well I guess I wasn't done knitting, so I grabbed my "Sugar'n Cream" Denim colored 100% cotton yarn and size 10 bamboo needles. Found the pattern on Lyon Brand Yarns website http://www.lionbrand.com/ Now I have to tell you this is a first for me, I have another pattern but just didn't care for it so I looked at the free patterns on this site and found the one I liked. I might have enough for another so I'm off to get it started now.

Knitted Trinity Wrap

Is finally finished, it took me well over 3 weeks to get it done, working on it mostly on weekends. The final size of the wrap is 65 x 12 inches (stretched out it's over 18 inches wide)across and knitted on a size 11 Bamboo circular needles This is a close up picture of the wool yarn (from Italy) I added a eyelash ribbon (from France) that's why you see all the little hairs sticking out...... it's from a speciality shop "Birch Tree Gallery" here in Soldotna, Alaska I had fun trying my hand at knitting something different this time, oh by the way if your interested I found the free pattern on Lyon Brand Yarn...... http://www.lionbrand.com/ Thanks for having a look see, I know it's been a while that I posted that's what I get for working long hours these days. Keep crafting and your creative juices flowing!

First and Last Knifty Knitter Scarf

Well I promised one of the kids on my bus that I'd do a scarf for him, if his mama would bring me some yarn........well low and behold she had yarn in a bag the next day when I dropped him off from school. Tho he said he wanted a round one so I tried my hand at the Knifty Knitter Loom and finally got it finished, I doubled the yarn and so it made for a nice heavy duty soft scarf. I do many crafts and this was so slow for me as I'm used to knitting with needles...........But I'm telling you just to see the great big smile on his face when I gave it to him was just precious!

Homemade Heart Ornament

Was feeling crafty today and I got out my felt and cut some hearts with my pinking shears, went thru my beads and buttons. I found a Large Merry Christmas button to add to my cut-out hearts and I added some red beads...........glued them all together and added green ribbon to hang it with. I thought it turned out rather cute if I don't say so myself..........think I'm gonna try some different shapes and make some more.
