CGI~Out of the Recycle Bin

Good Day to you all!
Did you forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour

(that is if you live in areas that do)........I'm so ready for Spring to come and guess what I wake up to this morning more blasted snow!  LOL

This week over at Come And Get It Challenges Judy is hosting the "Out of the Recycle Bin" challenge and well I wanted to do something that was outside of the box or bottle in my case and  I'm pretty please how it came out!  Thanks Judy for the challenge!

I'm sure you've seen the shaped bottle before.......wish I'd taken a before picture also, so here's my lovely project.  I may yet put a Love Potion sign on it yet.

For my project I started with a empty POM bottle and a night light bulb
using PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive) and pink tissue paper layering the tissue several times on the bottle and bulb for a good coverage then attach the die cut butterfly with several coats of the PPA  lastly a coat of PPA over the entire project, then let dry.
Spraying Radiant Rains over the entire bottle as well as the bulb, let dry.
Make collar for bottle attach beads with butterfly, rose and  ribbon.

What a lovely recycled bottle!

Wow another week has flown by and it's that time again for another challenge over at Come and Get It.
We'd like to challenge you to do something outside of the box this week as in "Anything but a Card"

Yes it's actually the lid of the Altoids Tin that I altered using a Rubber Stamp from Third Coast simply called "Fairy on Mushroom" FA-500-L, sentiment is from Impression Obsession and Fred Mullet weed stamp.
Stamped out image of  Fairy dry brush in distressed inks to color her and spray with Star Gazer Radiant Rains.( I just love the shimmery sparkle from these inks)

Cut Fairy out, attach to stamped background and using clear Pipe Dreamink Opals (these are embossing enamals from Australia) to adhere the the Fairy onto the tin as well as a little blue sprinkles along the edges.

January Anything But A Card

Since we have 5 weeks in the month of January....... The Challenge at Come and Get It  is to make anything but a card.  My art project for this week I've Altered Coasters

I started with raw blank coasters that I purchased eons ago and never did anything with so this is something new I'm trying.
I started  inking up the French Script (retired) background stamp from Stampin'Up! with Chocolate Chip dye ink stamping over the entire blank coasters

Then stamp with SU Simply Soft floral image and 2 step stamping the flower petals with Red Riding Hood to make the image pop.  Next stamp butterfly image (unknown) with Black and dry brush Spiced Marmalade (Tim Holtz) color into wings.

Distress the entire background with a Tim Holtz winter collection Evergreen Bough, then I spray misted the 4 coasters with Star Gazer Radiant Rains Iridescent Ink for that elegantly finished sparkly effect.
Lastly to make sure that all my color stayed on the coasters I sprayed them with Semi-Gloss Krylon Crystal Clear.

I'd like to share my Art Project with these Challenges:
Three Muses~ Anything French
Crafts 4 Eternity~ Clean & Simple
Crafty Ann's~ What's new pussycat?
The Friday Mashup!~Something new

Carousel Fairy Panda

I came across a template for a pop-up card and decide to revamp it a bit to make a Gazebo for this cute Carousel Fairy Panda rubber stamp from Third Coast Rubber Stamps ........well my imagination ran a little wild with this one....LOL

Carousel Panda Fairy PR-005-P
Flourishes are cut on the Cri-cut, scallop edges on top is EK punch, lace is from my stash, (Yes there is lace on it too if you look really hard for it.....LOL) roses are unknown source and the roof in done with a leaf punch from McGill
The next photo gives you a better shot of the roof and all those little leaves that I punched out and glue on
Now doesn't this make you want to go check out the cool  stamps at Third Coast Rubber Stamps?

I'm entering my 3-D Gazebo for these challenges:
Paper Crafting Journey ~ Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' ~ Punches- Dies
Samuel Taylors Crafts ~ Anything Goes

Thanks again for coming by!

Anything Goes at CGI

Over at Come and Get It this week for our Challenge it's "Anything Goes"
This week I decided to do something just a bit different, I took an ordinary file folder and turned it into a creepy crawly Halloween Memo Tablet Holder with lots of Spiders!

These are the lovely felt spiders on purple Ric-Rack that I found at the local craft-fabric store and added some purple glitter for their eyes
This is one of the Spiders that I stamped and cut out and added to the center of the designer web paper

I thought this little saying from a retired Stampin'Up! set fit perfectly with my theme of spiders

Open up the Memo Folder and here is what you see..........more Spiders!!  Oh My!  LOL   I had lots of fun adding all the creepy crawlies on my folder even came across a die-cut that says creepy crawlies.
It has pockets in it for paper clips and pencils or pens to hold.
To finish it off I added a velcro closure to keep it closed when not being used or to keep in all those creepy things!   LOL
I thought it would be fitting to add one more spider & web to the tablet inside!
I'd like to share my project for these challenges:
Bee Crafty~#55 Bling
Our Creative Corner~Fancy Folds
Secret Crafter~ Spooky or whimsical
