OSAAT Challenge 210 ~ Anything Goes

Good Morning!

One Stitch At A Time has the new challenge up and it's everyone's favorite "Anything Goes" you can find all the detail for our challenge here.  

One of my team mates picked this image out for us to use,  I'm gonna tell you it was really hard for me .......nothing was working out that I liked and I ended up making my own background paper and using dies, stencils, stamps and punches to get something that I could live with and like.

It might be the fact that I don't do the doodle-zentangle thing too much but anyway I hope that you like the card that I made using CraftyGirl Creations image "Love Hand Doodle"

CGI~Out of the Recycle Bin

Good Day to you all!  

Did you forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour 

(that is if you live in areas that do)........I'm so ready for Spring to come and guess what I wake up to this morning more blasted snow!  LOL

This week over at Come And Get It Challenges Judy is hosting the "Out of the Recycle Bin" challenge and well I wanted to do something that was outside of the box or bottle in my case and  I'm pretty please how it came out!  Thanks Judy for the challenge!

I'm sure you've seen the shaped bottle before.......wish I'd taken a before picture also, so here's my lovely project.  I may yet put a Love Potion sign on it yet.

For my project I started with a empty POM bottle and a night light bulb

 using PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive) and pink tissue paper layering the tissue several times on the bottle and bulb for a good coverage then attach the die cut butterfly with several coats of the PPA  lastly a coat of PPA over the entire project, then let dry.

Spraying Radiant Rains over the entire bottle as well as the bulb, let dry.

Make collar for bottle attach beads with butterfly, rose and  ribbon.

What a lovely recycled bottle!

Southern Girl~Tag Your It!

This week over at Southern Girls Challenge we are play Tag your It!
To play along is real easy  peasy....you just need to decorate a tag or put a tag
somewhere on your project

For my tag I used Marianne Designs dies LR0250 and LR0112

 Stampotique Originals Stamps Stella 3053 and 8918 Aborigine Verse

I had a wonderful time making the background for this tag, using distressed ink and direct to

 paper technique to color the tag then placed in a embossing folder. 
Adding more distressed

 ink on embossed leaves I then sprayed on Radiant Rains Shimmering Mist.

Then placing Marianne Dies on tag, Stella sitting has been masked with butterfly wings hence

 "Stella Fairy" on the vines and lastly a few jewels for bling with the aborigine verse

Dragonfly Wishes~ Sketch Challenge

Oh boy have I had terrible week.........Last Sunday night I walked down two flights of stairs to my craft studio and stepped on a rope toy with a 3 inch ball on it, lights on but I still didn't see it! 
Now I have an awful sprain with chipped bone on my right foot which happens to be my driving foot and it's got a wonderfully large boot on it now!.....so to say the least I've been cooped up going stir-crazy!  But I do get to go back to work (light duty of course........no driving for me)  So enough of me on to the Challenge.....

Any how it's another Sunday, so that means Come And Get It Challenges is having a new Sketch up for th challenge this week for you to give it a try!

Falling Leaves

A Breezy Hello!

We have been having some tremendous down pours of rain lately and the winds kick up and the leaves go swirling in the breeze........lots of yellow and orange colors are in the trees.  I really miss seeing the reds tho!

Aren't you just loving all the awesome colors that are coming out in the trees right now?  It's one of my favorite times of year especially for creating Fall cards.

I've taking some SU leaves and alphabet stamps, made a collage type 8x11 page.  Dry brushed color into the leaves and then sprayed Radiant Rains Gold onto top for a sparkle finish.

 I then placed die-cut trees that I distressed onto my collage leaves and final touch is the ribbon.

Autumn is in the Air!

Hello, Good Day!

 It's Sunday again, the leaves are starting to turn colors here in Alaska the cooler weather is right around the corner.......so I'll enjoy it while I can and maybe get busy harvesting more vegetables, the lawn needs one more mowing, gotta clean things up before the white stuff falls!

 Well we have a brand new challenge going on at Come And Get It!

CGI Sketch Challenge

I'm still on a Halloween kick as you can see by the card I did, the witch showed up more as she crossed the moon until I sprayed the Radiant Rain ......I may have to do some more cards using the sketch as I'm not really happy about this one.

 To All the Wonderful Fathers out there .........

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Hey There.........what beautiful weather we've been having and that means FISHING IN ALASKA!!  Well amongst other things too, I got my 1/2 acre lawn mowed so for my reward I loaded my furry kids up in the car and went for a hike!  All went well until some folks on bicycles with there unleashed puppy dog decided to whiz by!  LOL thank goodness I keep the rowdy one of mine on a long leash at all times!  All in all it was a good fun hike for everyone and they love their rewards of treats too!

This week at Come and Get It Challenges we are doing a Sketch that Leslie designed, so here's the sketch.

 Now you see why Fishin' is on the mind for my card.......For the sketch I needed some designer paper that would match a fishing theme but I couldn't find any that I really liked so I made my own with the retired SU set "On the Fly" using the fishing lures, I stamped them out and colored them a bit and sprayed Radiant Rain Star Gazer on my work.........love how it turned out!
