CAGI ~ Make A Gift

Glorious Sunday to You

It's sunny and cold out today, weather forecast this next week is the teens during the day.....that means  even colder nights and chilly mornings!  This past week I had a tooth break and pre for crown, not my type of fun and along with that Grand Jury too!  The Fun never ends....LOL

Come And Get It Challenge this week is all about Making Gifts and Meighan is our hostess, well if your the crafty type of person there are so many options!
You can check out the wonderful selection at Split Coast Stampers in the tutorials or cruise Pinterest.
Be sure to stop by and check out the fabulous creations from the Design Team

I was at odds as what to make for the challenge but I finally decided after I went thru my craft drawers and found some 2" Clear Acrylic tiles that I'd bought many moons again.

I've made one into a Ornament and the other is a Magnet

So the instructional steps to making these are as follows

1. Stamp Image with Black Stazon....heat emboss
2. Using Acrylic paint to color......heat emboss
3. Using Versa-Mark cover entire tile and heat emboss with sparkly embossing powder
4. Cut card stock/designer paper for backing
5. Using Red Line Tape (tacky tape) hold card stock to tile and edge with tape
6. Remove liner on tape and cover all edges with art glitter
7. Cut Magnet to finish or drill hole for hanging

Shimmery Love Valentine

I was in need of one more Valentine's Day card so this was a quick fun love card for my DH's Auntie.  So this is what I did in making this card........Stamp floral image on (DP) designer paper using shimmer paint daub with a paint brush onto stamped image now using cut out letters of love, attach to pre-stamped/cut  image of heart.  Punch little hearts,  punch edges of DP now glue all the hearts to your DP (You'll also notice that I added shimmer paint to the heart in the word love) hand print your squiggly lines with hearts add a ribbon and mount on your card base ...you have a lovely card to send!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Puppy Card

I had some photo's of the puppies developed and thought it would be cute to make a couple cards for the folks that have bought them. So here is one of the cards that I made to go with the new pup, so they can remember what he looked like when he was little.....LOL
This last picture is the inside of the card, I did put his name & date he was born......Wonder if he will be a knot head since he's captured with a large wooden knot in the board. LOL ***(oh did you catch the tree's on the inside of the card??.....they are made from left over scraps of photo's!)
Happy Stamping Everyone.......until next time!

Swap Cards

Whew is summer just flying by or what ........
June's Swaps on "Inkyfunstampers Yahoo Group" and these are the two cards that I'm exchanging, I forgot to mention that the background on the first card is from a swap that I did with my Yahoo Group.....entitled "Veined Background".....As I recall I did this one time for a display at a store with spray webbing that you can find at a hardward store.
I had fun doing these, I sure hope the Ladies enjoy them coming across to their mail boxes...LOL

Alaska Friends.......

Are moving out of state so I did a couple of Deco pages that will be going in a specially made book for the each of them.
We will truly miss them both, but I know the medical care for her daughter is lots better and closer for them should they need it!

PCP Challenge #30

This is Paper Craft Planet's sketch challenge for the week....... I got my card done today using my Oval Creative Memories cutting system........these puppies are pretty slick, I want to get more of the other shapes! I used some of my left over scraps from last week's green coredinations card stock to cut out the oval and sanded the edges layering it with DP........also from the scallop circle left overs I used it for today's card in the outer edges circle. The little Elf is a stamp set I got last winter from Close to my Heart, sentiment is unknown at the time. I had fun doing this sketch of the week.........thank Maria for providing it! Until next time............Happy Stamping!

Cards from Soldotna

Just a few cards to show you what we do once a month here to have fun! This one has Flower Soft on the petals of the flowers........not sure if I really like it? This one is Staz-on stamped to the butterfly and parchment paper then ironed to the fibers. The last card is the one that I made for the group........ I love the Sugar Nellies

SU Pacific Point Ink, Scallop Punched paper and ribbon 3. SU Retired Birthday stamp set This card was done for a friends birthday, she likes sparkle so I used my favorite spray ink. 1. Thanks for you comment Elaine...........she corrected me as the flower punch is from Creative Memories.
