CAGI ~ Make A Gift

Glorious Sunday to You

It's sunny and cold out today, weather forecast this next week is the teens during the day.....that means  even colder nights and chilly mornings!  This past week I had a tooth break and pre for crown, not my type of fun and along with that Grand Jury too!  The Fun never ends....LOL

Come And Get It Challenge this week is all about Making Gifts and Meighan is our hostess, well if your the crafty type of person there are so many options!
You can check out the wonderful selection at Split Coast Stampers in the tutorials or cruise Pinterest.
Be sure to stop by and check out the fabulous creations from the Design Team

I was at odds as what to make for the challenge but I finally decided after I went thru my craft drawers and found some 2" Clear Acrylic tiles that I'd bought many moons again.

I've made one into a Ornament and the other is a Magnet

So the instructional steps to making these are as follows

1. Stamp Image with Black Stazon....heat emboss
2. Using Acrylic paint to color......heat emboss
3. Using Versa-Mark cover entire tile and heat emboss with sparkly embossing powder
4. Cut card stock/designer paper for backing
5. Using Red Line Tape (tacky tape) hold card stock to tile and edge with tape
6. Remove liner on tape and cover all edges with art glitter
7. Cut Magnet to finish or drill hole for hanging

Soft Landing~ CGI Color Theme

Wonderful Day to you All!
We got that yucky white stuff ...."Snow" yesterday evening and it's been cold enough that it has stayed on the ground though it's just a slight dusting it's a reminder that more will be on the way!
Everyone knew that the snow was coming early because the fireweed was blooming early this year and that is a sure sign as all the Ole timers say that here in Alaska.....not looking forward for more!

Well now on to our challenge over at Come And Get It, we are doing a Color Theme this week.
I wanted to do something a little different so I used one of the fun image from "Just Some Lines" that I won in a challenge some odd weeks ago, the link to their blog is in my side bar...........So now on to my fun card using Wanda witch-soft landing......see not all witches are ghoulish! LOL   I added just a bit of glitter to the little flowers and dots for as my witch is floating down

Please use the color swatch shown below, you can use any 1 neutral color to go along with the creation of your project .....
So now it's your turn to get busy and give the color theme a try and play at Come And Get It.......make sure that you check out the other design teams wonderful cards!

Art Tags

Hello, I've busy making some fun Art Tags, some of these are for a swap going on one of my yahoo groups.  The light blue seaside tag is from a old, old retired SU set that I got at a co-op store in Anchorage.........it doesn't even have a year on it.  I stamped the image on the tag with staz-on, stippled on some SU Marina Mist, brushed on some PPA (perfect paper adhesive)  layered it with a napkin..........and scrunched it a bit and sprinkled some crystal effectz glitter for sparkle and let it dry.  Lastly going over the tag one more time with PPA to finish it off! The darker blue Tag I clear embossed it, went over with SU Pacific Point ink, sprayed it with Radiant Rains for some added sparkly glimmer then topped it off with some buttons. The red Tag was done the same way using a napkin but I painted it red first and let it dry before putting the stamped Tilda and then I brushed on a layer of PPA.  Yes it works with Copic Markers......no bleeding of colors or anything!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
