OSAAT #196 with Finch on pine Calendar

Good Morning!

Just a bit about our weather here in Alaska, Monday had some horrible snow storms dumping over a foot of snow and come Thursday of this week have had a warming trend hit us and all that snow has turned to a messy slush on the back roads!  So strange to be having this kind of weather.

I've got something different to show you, I've recycled an old CD case for our round of fun at
It was my team mate Josephine's turn to pick a image out for us to work with and she chose "Finch on    Pine" from Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet and can be found here

Molded Flower Scrap Card

I actually went down to the craft room today & turned on the heater to warm it up a bit so I could play
Well the card I did is all from scrap papers that I have stashed in my drawers, the flower is one I did a few years ago with a friend when we where making homemade paper (poured from paper pulp) guess I can really say that I'm recycling too because we took scrap paper and shredded it an made our pulp to get the flower the homemade way ....LOL  The piece behind the flower is from one of my Lace’ stencils that you cut out and fold.  I forgot how fun they were to cut these out and fold. Alrighty I'm gonna chill for a while it's time to get more Vitamin C down as my sinuses are running a muck lately with a few sneezing intervals

Thanks for dropping by!

Recycled Christmas Gift Containers

Hello......I've been busy like everyone else rushing around getting ready for Christmas.  These are some last minute gift containers that I've saved through out the year and stashed for just this purpose of putting home made goodies inside!!  So first I made up a double batch of Chex Mix and fill these babies to the brim......and decorated with some fun designer paper adding these adorable stamped images of Hanglar Stanglar winter kids, lastly the sentiment is retired SU.  I have a dear friend Eva that lives in Sweden she purchased these for me last year and I finally got them stamped out, colored with copic markers.

Thanks for taking the time to stopping by!

Thanks for stopping by!  = )

Workshop Cards

Hello there! I wanted to share some of the cards that I did at a all day workshop that I attended. It was from 10:00am until 10:00pm...........lunch was provided and dinner was your decision, it was held at one of the local hotels in Soldotna tho I have to tell you it was a chilly -7 degree's when I got into town! This wonderful stamp of the bear is from a retired SU set.........sorry
Here I'm using up some cut out pictures from an old Mary Englebert desk calendar, so in fact I'm recycling my calendar .......LOL, they make some great cards, and the pictures are so cute!
Yes I'm still on a roll doing Christmas cards
So any who this card that I put together using Santa tag & inchie's are from a couple of sheets of designer 12 x 12 paper.
I told you I really loved doing this Sepia technique, so here's another one using the same stamp set from SU (Holy Triptych) Now using this technique I used a stiff flat dry brush to work more color closer to the Angel all around her, I highlighted with a blue on her wings and of course I added sparkle to the wings but you can't see because of the scan.
All my cards that I make use SU card stock............I just really like the heavy weight of the 80 lb high quality........did you know that its also Acid Free, Lignin Free and buffered making it safe to use in all your scrap booking. Happy Stampin' Y'all!

What to do with.....used Seed Packs

When you have planted the seeds! Now I love Nasturtiums flower & I plant them every summer so I decide to save the empty package, instead of throwing it away.

Well I came up with this design for a flower a tag card

Here’s the instruction for my card……

1. I cut the seed pack top off as it was ragged.

2. I used red line tape to seal bottom of seed pack

3. Embossed Nasturtium stamp image with black powder.

4. Stamp image again with dye ink for flowers on tags.

5. Color in images….(copic’s didn’t work with embossed images)

6. Line up stamped image to top of seed pack, attach with adhesive.

7. Layer seed pack on cardstock……I used black & summer sun (SU)

8. Attach ribbon to sides at angles and make bow to attach

9. Make tags to fit into seed pack pocket.

10. Layer all on to pumpkin pie cardstock (SU)
