Marvelous Marquee Birthday

My oldest son's Birthday is coming up really soon and I needed to get a special card made up for him, well I was looking at all the guy kind of stamps that I have and came across this handsome western dude!  LOL  This card idea is from the Technique Junkies CD of Fancy Folds called the "Marvelous Marquee"and you can find the CD HERE
The Sheriff star badge that I stamped out works perfect for this center piece in the card
Have a look inside before I send it off, you can see that it reveals "Happy Birthday" when it's opened......I know I'm not perfect in any way and this was my very first try at doing this card and noticed that my folded pieces are off set, oh well next time I will be better making sure that my parts line up!!
Thanks for stopping by!

TJ Hidden Slider Card

About my card  I used my CD from Technique Junkies called the Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts again doing this fun "Hidden Slider" .....if you haven't gotten the CD yet you really should Pat has put together some awesome stuff on it!

As you can see these images pop up from the pocket with the cut out tab using a circle punch at the top and the sentiment pops up too.  I had gotten this set many moons ago (as it's a retired SU set) and have rarely used it but when I was visiting with a friend she had one too so we made our cards using it, I think it was perfect for this card too!  You can't tell by the scan but we used the linen background on the blue card stock and then stamped the pocket making it look more like a denim pocket

Thanks for stopping in again!

Side Step Western

Hey there, I did this card on Friday and just now getting a chance to put it on my blog because I had a weekend from "HE double tooth picks"........ I came home to sit down at my computer to see all these window icons trying to open up browser windows that said blank, blank, blank.  Dang I figured I'd contracted a frigging virus somewhere!  So I ended up having to take my whole computer down to a reformat mode and reloading everything ..........it took me 2 days to get everything updated and downloaded to a normalcy.  Well so now that I am up to date with all of Micro Soft's goodies, I totally recommend that you keep up to date with your virus protection..........Oh I had Avg, avast, spybot search & destroy on my computer and this virus got passed all of them!!!!   Micro Soft has a new anti-virus out now that is much better and keeps updated called "Micro soft essentials" which I now have.  I feel better and more relaxed enough to play in my craft room again.........so on to the card it's from the new CD from Technique Junkies called "Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts"

Thanksgiving isn't just for the Birds!

I thought a little humor was needed for my Thanksgiving Tag Swap..........I just love this Turkey eating tuna outta the can!   My background on the tag was a Technique Junkies from a back issue that I hadn't gotten a chance to try, well I'll tell you I love it how the "Faux Velvet" turns out......gonna have to do more of them in different colors!

I'm also entering my tag for a challenge with:
* Stamp-n-doodle

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy my latest project!

Old & New Stampin'Up!

This is a monthly sketch that SBS26 is having and I signed on to do a swap so I got it done today. I used the newest jumbo wheel from SU called "Very Vintage" it's from the Mini Occasions Catalog on page 27 item 117693. I used the TJ technique called "Burnish Background" for the main focal point in the sketch........the inks used are Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango and Bermuda Bay.
This first card that I'm sharing with you today is from Cornish Heritage Farms Rubber Stamps I stamped it with the recommended Versa-Fine Black Ink, dry brush in the colors and then embossed it with clear powder..........I really like how it turned out for my swap.
This card was a tag card swap............I got in some new embossing folders and had to try it out, and painted SU Shimmer Paint (Platinum #116807 in the Holiday Mini Catalog) on one of the Stamps from Delightful Decorations (#116517 in the Holiday Mini) then punched it out with the Newest Ornament punch that came out from SU (#116794 also in the Holiday Mini)
Added a little bit of ribbon and tied on the tag ornament
This card I tried a new technique with Gesso, letting it dry overnite and embossing it in a folder then sand the raised parts.............this was also another swap card, Hey I hope you're having a good week so far. Happy Stampin' Y'all!

Here's some more Doublebugging Samples

Playin with the Bug!

I played with my Cuttlebug today using the "Double Bugging Technique" that's in the Technique Junkies newsletter. For this card I used Stampin'Up Cardstock, Scallop Edge Punch and Inks. Ribbon is just from one of the fabric stores here in town. Tho I wanted it to be a little distressed so Ranger Inks came in handy too.

Search for Tinker Bell Blog Candy & DoubleBugging

In honor of my Birthday I have set up a search game & find Tinker Bell some where on one of my blog postings.
1. Search for Tinker Bell......
2. Post a commet......
3. Post on your Blog & refer back to me......
4. Search & Find will last till the end of June or when found?......
5. Good Luck!......
Now on to the card that I did today........Cuttlebug "Doublebugging" Spotlight
I was taking the doublebug technique a little farther with this card and I really like how it turned out!
Basic instructions is to run your cardstock thru one cuttlebug folder A-2, then pick out a color of your choice stamp pad and rub over raised areas.
Now run thru another cuttlebug folder.......thus "doublebugging"
I stamped and spotlighted this first and ran it thru the cuttle bug then attached the spotlighting of stamped image.

Bingo Blast Technique Card

This is another Technique Junkie card that I'm sharing with you today, you can use the Bingo Ink Dauber or in my case I used Radiant Rains Dauber because that's what I have on hand.
The Fairy stamp is from Inkadinkado, and the other stamps are unknown.
Stampin'Up cardstock, sticker butterfly on bottom of card is K-Company.

Sparkle Resist Brayer Swap Card

I join a swap this month for a Brayer Technique Card, I used the technique from the latest Junkie News letter. I used a retired "Daisy" Stampin'Up! set for the bold flowers, Inked with Versa-mark and using sparkling embossing powder........then brayered it with Kaleidacolor "Blue Breeze" (this is only part of the instructions)...... email me for more if your interested.

Another Heard from the Heart-Bandana

As I said earlier I was playing with the different colors, this one is done with Kiwi Kiss & Baja Breeze. Not really liking the colors, just don't pop for me..............but it's still a nice card and I wanted to show the ladies the difference.

Heard from the Heart~Bandana Card

I wanted to give the ladies something different to work on at my next Stampin' Up Workshop, so I tried playing with some of the new Colors for SU 1. Inks: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Black 2. Card Stock: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White 3. Stamp Sets: Heard from the Heart, Brocade Basics 4. Accessories: Vintage Brads, Ticket Corner Punch, Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen, Sponge Daubers Hope you like the color combination of these 2 colors..........I thought they turned out great!

NGS Deco Pages

These pages are done for Shirley's Round Robin book at Next Generation Stampers.......I just know she'll like them! This page is done with the Bandana technique from Technique Junkies and the Stamps are from Art by Moonlight This page is simply done with a script background stamped on SU cardstock. Film strip is cutout with my "Wizard" using black SU cardstock.
